The Versicherungskammer Group and Provinzial Group are entering into a strategic partnership to launch new retirement products starting in January 2027. Joining them is Luxembourg-German technology and regulatory provider investify TECH. In addition to insurance solutions, the offering will include investment solutions for the first time.

The retirement market is undergoing change: capital-market-based products are becoming increasingly important, while customers are increasingly looking for flexible, transparent and cost-efficient solutions. With their strategic partnership, Versicherungskammer and Provinzial are responding to this development. With the support of investify TECH, the two largest public insurers in Germany plan to offer joint investment and retirement products from the beginning of 2027.

Investment and insurance from a single source

As part of the collaboration, Versicherungskammer will be responsible for developing the investment products, while Provinzial will be responsible for the insurance offerings. Customers of both groups, together with their distribution partners, will be able to select the retirement solution that best suits their individual needs.

The planned offering ranges from a government-subsidized standard investment account and capital-market-based investment solutions to a lifelong annuity with a guarantee on the contributions paid in. In this way, the partners aim to address different retirement needs and create new opportunities for long-term financial security.

“Our shared goal is to meet the demand for investment solutions while also offering our customers retirement products tailored to their individual needs,” explains Martin Fleischer, Member of the Executive Board responsible for Life Insurance at Versicherungskammer Group.

Dr. Stefanie Alt, Member of the Executive Board responsible for Life Insurance at Provinzial Group, adds: “Our joint products are designed to create synergies, remain competitive and, above all, offer our customers modern solutions. Today, retirement planning is perceived much more strongly as a long-term companion throughout life – particularly among people under 30. The new retirement investment account creates flexibility, reduces complexity, bundles important services and increases transparency – both digitally and through local agencies.”

investify TECH supports the provision of investment solutions

An important component of the new product offering is the technical, regulatory and operational provision of the investment solutions. This is being implemented in cooperation with investify TECH and lemon.markets, a subsidiary of dwpbank.

The collaboration combines the expertise of established insurance companies and asset managers with specialized partners for the provision of investment solutions.

In addition, Versicherungskammer and Provinzial are planning a new digitalized wealth management offering for both lump-sum investments and additional investments. This is intended to expand the offering beyond traditional retirement planning.

Market launch scheduled for January 2027

The launch is scheduled for January 2027 and is planned to coincide with the entry into force of the Retirement Provision Reform Act. The new products are intended to address changing requirements in private retirement planning and combine different investment and protection needs.

With this cooperation, investify TECH once again demonstrates how investment solutions can be integrated into a modern, integrated retirement offering. Dr. Harald Brock, Managing Director of investify TECH, says: “With Versicherungskammer and Provinzial, we have gained two more renowned insurance groups for our platform. Insurers are increasingly facing the challenge of implementing modern, digital and competitive investment and retirement solutions. We are delighted to support the industry in this process with our versatile platform solution!”
