Modernisation of an asset manager in conjunction with legacy systems
Published: 10.07.2024 | By investify
Support customer advisory service, streamline internal processes and improve compliance – that was the task with which the asset manager Rhein Asset Management (RAM) approached investify TECH. All while consciously keeping some legacy systems and interfaces.
“Individual advice is part of our DNA, and we intend to continue supporting our customers in shaping their wealth in this way”, explains Mark Bügers, Managing Director at RAM. “In this day and age, however, it is also important to offer customers and advisors digital solutions, like smart front ends, an own customer app and attractive (ad-hoc) reporting, and to become even more efficient internally. This is the only way to attract good customers and advisors. Due to some of the individual characteristics in our customer portfolios and processes, which have evolved over more than 25 years, we are consciously and prudently shaping our modernisation process step-by-step. With investify TECH we found the perfect partner who took our ideas into consideration, thus developing our product in our special look and feel on a private banking level.”
Streamlining of processes and minimisation of manual workload
A digitalisation strategy must always include the back end – a problem many banks and asset managers are facing. Only having an appealing front end no longer suffices in an increasingly digital and regulated world. The investify TECH platform, on the other hand, not only provides considerable streamlining of internal processes at RAM but also takes over regulated processes, such as risk profiling and drafting agreements, monitoring of loss thresholds, as well as the entire reporting process (quarterly and cost reports), along with payment and billing processes, within the scope of outsourcing. The risk for these processes is thereby transferred to investify TECH. New regulatory developments are automatically integrated in processes by investify TECH, thus improving compliance. The existing portfolio management system continues to be available to the advisors for the management and ordering of individual portfolios. The manual workload for auxiliary back-office tasks, on the other hand, was completely reduced.
Interfaces to leading custodian banks
“The use of the investify TECH platform, which is also already connected with our custodian bank, saves time and resources and lowers the implementation risks. The ease of the migration of existing data and performance histories etc. was particularly noteworthy. Our portfolio management system and the platform also run smoothly together, as investify TECH retrieves all of the data straight from the custodian bank and refines them for the end customer. Absolute data truth is thus ensured”, explains Bügers. “This lowers our expenses for the back office and regulatory affairs, allowing us to focus completely on our actual core business, namely advice, sales and asset management.”
“The use of the investify TECH platform saved us time and resources and lowered risks.”
